Using a freeware utility called HD Tune you can get information about your hard drive and also benchmark it. Using this utility you can do the following:
- Benchmark your hard disk
- Find information about your hard disk
- Find your hard disk�s health status
- Scan for bad sectors in your hard disk.
Benchmarking: You can benchmark the following parameters of your hard disk drive: transfer rate, burst rate, access time and cpu usage.
Finding information about your hard disk drive: The following information about your hard disk drive can be found: supported features, serial number of the hard disk, Model no of hard disk, amount of cache supported, temperature of your hard disk, firmware revision and interface standard.
